# Nordic Crypto

> Public JSON feed of Nordic crypto news, newsletters, events, sources, academia and the who's who. No account. No API key.

Nordic Crypto covers Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. The sign-off is The Nordic Crypto team. Kaupr (kaupr.io) is a news source only and is never a sponsor. Summaries are ours, in English, with translations in summary_i18n (nn, nb, sv, da, fi, is) when published. Other site languages fall back to English until a translation is published. External headlines stay in the original language.

GitHub Pages sends Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * on every JSON file, so a browser can fetch them from any site. Use the file name (index.json). A directory URL does not serve the JSON.

## Market prices

Prices from Nordic exchanges with a public ticker (Firi and Norwegian Block Exchange in Norway, Coinmotion in Finland). Market data, not investment advice. Each ticker has symbol, base, quote, last, bid and ask when the exchange publishes them, plus exchange id, name and country, fetched_at and source_url. volume_base is the base asset with no named window (Firi). volume_base_24h and volume_quote_24h are the last 24 hours (NBX), in the base asset and in the quote currency. A missing volume is null, not zero. Quotes are NOK, SEK, DKK or EUR. A failed exchange is an error with a timestamp and no price. The file is fetched again when the site is built, and a GitHub Actions job rewrites it on gh-pages about hourly. Aggregated prices are one row per pair: /api/v1/markets/aggregated.json. BTC-NOK is not averaged with BTC-EUR. last is the arithmetic mean of published last prices. mid is the mean of (bid+ask)/2 and is not mixed into last. min and max follow the same series as price. There is no VWAP, because the volume windows do not match. Volume sums add only the same field inside the same pair. logo_url points at api/v1/markets/logos/{symbol}.svg when cryptocurrency-icons (CC0-1.0) includes that asset, and is null otherwise. The same pairs, with the logo, are on /api/v1/markets/by-asset/{symbol}.json.

A single news item is api/v1/news/{id}.json (the id is on each item). primary_source is the outlet we lead with. also_covered_by is every other outlet on the same event. sources lists them with the primary first. coverage.by_country and coverage.by_source_type (national, regional, official, international) are the counts and shares, and empty types are included as zero. html_url is our coverage page. url is the primary outlet. 
A single newsletter issue is api/v1/newsletters/{id}.json and includes plain text and HTML. Country slices: api/v1/news/by-country/NO.json (also SE, DK, FI, IS).
