NBX inngår avtale med Tieto om betalingskort for stablecoins

Norwegian platform NBX has signed with Tieto Banktech for digital and physical payment cards so customers can spend stablecoins in everyday purchases without first selling them, converting to kroner and transferring the money. Chief executive Stig Aleksander Kjos-Mathisen says the card is built around NBX's own stablecoins, issued in line with MiCA, rather than layered on top of someone else's coin. It starts as a prepaid Visa card, with Visa Flex planned later.
