Germany is moving towards tax rules that are less favourable for crypto investments, EFN reports via the news agency Direkt, citing the German newspaper Wirtschaftswoche. According to the report, the government wants to abolish the tax exemption on gains from crypto held for more than a year and to apply a withholding tax instead of individual income tax, and the issue was expected on the agenda of a meeting on Wednesday. Industry representatives are critical of the planned changes.
