NBX made a pre-tax loss of NOK 21.33 million in the first half of 2026, compared with a loss of NOK 9.85 million a year earlier. Chief executive Stig Aleksander Kjos-Mathisen says much of the loss is a lower book value on the company's bitcoin, and that volumes were low, risk appetite weak and capital expensive. In the same report NBX converted NOK 19.8 million of loans and interest into 73.5 million new shares, and its bitcoin holding rose from about 24 coins at the end of June to 28 in August.
