Danes lost DKK 89 million to investment fraud in the first half of 2026, across 1,145 registered cases, and crypto played a part in 70.6 percent of them. The fraud often starts on social media, with promises of fast returns. Fake ads misuse pictures of well-known Danes to make the offer look credible, and Finans Danmark is warning against it.
