Richard James Schueler, a US crypto millionaire wanted by Finland and also known as Richard Heart, has been detained in Istanbul, according to Turkish media; Yle reports this via STT, citing the Turkish site Daily Sabah and the IHA news agency. The arrest has so far been reported only by Turkish media. The Helsinki District Court remanded Schueler in custody in absentia in September 2024 as a suspect in aggravated tax fraud, and Hämeen Sanomat reports that Helsinki police suspect he avoided about €280 million in taxes in his crypto business.
