Tiny Vikings plans to unveil giant figure at Marfa art weekend

The Bitcoin Ordinals art project Tiny Vikings plans to unveil what it calls "the world's largest Tiny Viking" outside Plastic Cactus Gallery in Marfa, Texas, on Thursday 22 October 2026 at 10:00 local time, according to an event page hosted by Lars and elgin. Lars is the project's creator. The reveal, at 17:00 Oslo time, is meant to open three days of "Tiny World" in the town.

Tiny Vikings is a collection of 20,000 digital collectibles on Bitcoin, according to the market-data site CoinGecko. The gallery's artist page describes the project as a community art project that spans digital art, physical objects, games, storytelling and real-world installations, and says Lars builds 3D-printed figures and giant wooden Tiny Vikings from scrap material. The event page does not say what the Marfa figure is made of.

Plastic Cactus is a group exhibition of independent artists held during Art Blocks Marfa Weekend, open 22–24 October from 10:00 to 16:00 at 301 W Dallas St, according to its website. Tiny Vikings also plans a one-hour live broadcast on X Spaces at noon each day from 22 to 24 October.

Lars announced the reveal on X on 20 October as @LazerErik and linked the registration page in a reply. The event page says the project has been "bringing Tiny Viking into the real world for years".
